Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is learned and can be unlearned. Violence in the home is never justified. There are ways of resolving conflict and dealing with the "heat of the moment" without resorting to violence. Together with The Center for Violence Free Relationships, the El Dorado Healthy Marriages Coalition offers classes to eliminate domestic violence in El Dorado County.

Domestic violence occurs more frequently in households where there is no biological father in the home (in the case of children). For women, domestic violence is more prevelent for couple's who are cohabiting.
