We promote and announce marriage and relationship education programs in El Dorado County, California This website is designed to be an electronic clearinghouse of all marriage-related programs and resources within El Dorado County, California Faith-based and community-based organizations in El Dorado County, California who are members of the coalition have their marriage education programs listed here. Couples are encouraged to take advantage of these programs to strengthen their marriages. Bookmark this page to stay current with the latest offerings from our coalition partners. Programs include those for couples preparing marriage, already married couples, blended or step families, couples who are new parents, and those couples who suffer from domestic violence. Research shows that marriage education - relationship skills training programs are the most effective tools for improving relationships. These programs help society and lower government spending on services (see here). Couples who are planning marriage should allow four to six months of marriage preparation prior to their wedding to ensure a life-long and committed marriage. Our vision statement: The El Dorado Healthy Marriages Coalition promotes Marriage Education and Relationship Skills classes to organizations and couples giving El Dorado County healthy and long lasting marriages and healthy families. |
